Blessings

May you wake
each day with God’s
blessings and sleep
each night in His
keeping, and may you
always walk
in His tender care.

Last night was not a good night for my brother’s family in Doylestown, Ohio. John – my twin brother and the oldest by four minutes (Sorry John, I had to let all who read this know who is the oldest!) – and his precious family had a terrible scare. My sister-in-law Laurie and Darcie, my nephew JD’s wife were out with the twins in Doylestown. They were hit by another vehicle. The twins were not hurt - just scared. Laurie was jarred up pretty bad with bruises, broken tooth, back and head aches, and general soreness all over her body which resulted from the hit and the air bag. Darcie was hurt a little more severely. Both had jumped out of the vehicle to check on the boys. Both were able to walk – which was a blessing in disguise. After being checked out at the hospital, it was discovered that Darcie actually had a broken neck! Her break is around the area where the spine and skull meet. The doctor told the family she should be able to have a full recovery. For this we are sincerely thankful. On top of all this, Caleb, one of the twins, fell on the steps and broke his leg right above his ankle! It appears the hard part will be keeping him off his leg for at least six weeks! We are so blessed to have all of them with us today. This posting is going to show a few pictures of John, Laurie, and their family. If my nieces and nephew are reading this – Aunt Sue needs updated pictures!! J
Through the years with John, Laurie, Dawn, JD, and Lindsay – we love you all! I will be making a posting as the weeks go on for my other brothers and their family – have to keep peace! I love them all very, very much!! (Two bushels and a peck and a hug around the neck – right Billy?)
This picture was taken on January 22, 1989 - our birthday - John is still four minutes older!
