4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails . . .
1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 8 (NIV)
This is one of my favorite passages from the Bible – this is what love is all about, not just between man and wife; parents and child; friend to friend; but man to God. Love is patient and kind; we do not have to “brag or boast” about our love; we know it is there unconditionally. No marriage is without its ups and downs, but when it is true love – it will persevere!
Today is the third anniversary for David and Jeni. During the last three years, many changes have taken place for them – some ups and some downs, but with their faith they have managed to make it through those down moments. David has had two surgeries – one on his knee and a recent gall bladder surgery; Jeni went through a very rough first trimester in her pregnancy, but God has been with them all the way.
They are both waiting anxiously for the birth of their first child – a daughter. They will shower this little girl with the same love they have shown each other. I am sure it is scary at the thoughts of giving birth and becoming a parent. Questions of “will I know how to hold the little one, feed her, diaper her, and raise her the way God wants me to" more than likely flow rampantly through their minds. They will do great because they do know and believe that God will guide them all the way!
They one thing I learned from my parents was to always say “I love you” whenever you have a chance. No phone call ever ended or ends today without me saying “I love you” to Mom or Dad when he was living – I still tell him I love him! I do not need to hear the words “I love you” to know that I am loved, but it is nice to hear! :)
David and Jeni are still young in their marriage and will experience many more highs and lows, but with the love they have for one another and the love they have for God - they will be able to endure anything life may throw their way with that love they have for one another. We want to wish them a very Happy Anniversary and to let them know they are loved very much!
The pictures we are posting are some of our favorites that will take you from their first meeting and up to this past Christmas! We begin the pictures off with one from their special day three years ago!
We love you both!

The previous post is also for you both - I tried to find the song "Yesu Azali Awa." We have it on a cd, but couldn't find it on the "playlist" site, so I chose "You Raise Me Up" by Selah! Hope you like it!
