Now you might ask who could be a "budding artist" in the Hardin household! Is it Toby, Bill, or me? Actually, it is Bill!! I got him a "Bob Ross" paint set for his birthday . For years we both have enjoyed watching the artist Bob Ross thirty minute shows on PBS. He has always made painting look so easy! I got the idea of giving Bill a paint set from my nephew Billy. He had found a set for his dad - my brother Dink. Rhonda told him to get it for her so she could give Dink the set for Christmas. Apparently Dink likes the Bob Ross show as well. Maybe they could both get together and paint up a storm!!

While I was at Mom's this weekend, Bill decided to try his hand at painting one of the landscapes! Apparently he did not want an audience and painted with no one here but Toby. He said Toby was beside him most of the time keeping an eye on his every mood. Good job Toby! A DVD came with the paint set, so Bill had directions on how to do the painting. He had watched that DVD a dozen times before attempting to paint.
As we have heard many times, "a picture is worth a thousand words." I am posting the sequence of Bill's progress! I may be prejudice, but I think he did a great job! He may be embarking on a second career - maybe one that will be much more lucrative financially! :):)
The Supplies!

In the beginning it was all white . . .
. . . added blue for the sky and water, plus a mountain range . . .
. . . a few trees have now been added . . .
. . . a few more trees for the right and left hand sides . . .
. . . and now he has added rocks and a path along the shore line!The Final Results . . . . . which I think is beautiful . . . . sorry folks . . . .the first one is MINE!

Bill really and truly did this by himself - oops, I forgot, Toby did help by overseeing his progress! Okay Dink, it's your turn to paint one!!!!
