Whew - It's Finally Been Pulled

The tooth has finally been pulled. YEAH!!!!!!!! Mom came through it like a trooper, but we did have an issue with the BP. Once she took her Valium, and they took her back, her BP was much better. The whole procedure - putting her to sleep included - took about 25 minutes!

She was so "loopy" when we went back into the room. Her mouth was full of gauze; she was glassy eyed; and she didn't think they had pulled the tooth yet!! We really had to convince her the tooth was gone before she would try and get out of the chair and leave. Then she started to put her finger in her mouth to feel to see if the tooth was there or not!! Oh, what a fun time we may be in for this afternoon!!!!!!

She also wanted to know if they had shown us the tooth! :):) Guess she wanted a souvenir!!! May have been the proof she wanted that it had been actually pulled! She is still having a hard time believing it is gone!

She is actually sleeping on the couch - daytime is not the time you sleep on the bed!!!!!! She is all bundled up and snoozing away!! Wish I could take a nap too!!!!!

I thank God that she came through the procedure and that the tooth which has caused her so much pain is gone.!! I know a lot may have thought we were making a big deal over a tooth being pulled - but Monday was an indication of why this was a very scary procedure for Mom. Hd they pulled the tooth with her BP up, she could have had a stroke, bled to death, and a number of other possibilities we had to read about when signing the papers. The possibilities of what could have gone wrong was scary enough if you were a healthy person - can you imagine how I felt when I read what could happen to Mom??? SCARY!!!!!!!

Closing for now so I can listen to my mother snore - ahhh a sweet sound it is today!!!!!
